A young girl who mysteriously vanished four years ago has miraculously been found.
Layla Leisha went missing from Calliope, Queensland, in December 2014, sparking a lengthy police investigation and countless desperate appeals from family members.
The Family Court of Australia issued a recovery order asking for members of the public for their assistance in finding her.
The 12-year-old was located on September 30 by the Australian Federal Police at an undisclosed location.
Last month, a relative believed they spotted Layla at Woorabinda, an Aboriginal community in Central Queensland, and authorities were alerted.
‘The AFP would like to thank the public and media for their continued interest and support in the matter,’ a statement read.
